Chicken Marinara Pasta
Servings: 4 servings
Description
A savory pasta dish with tender chicken breast pieces simmered in a rich tomato marinara sauce with Italian herbs.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Penne pasta
- 2 Chicken breasts, cubed
- 2 cups Marinara sauce
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Dried oregano
- 1 tsp Dried basil
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Steps
- Cook the pasta in boiling salted water according to package directions. Drain.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add cubed chicken to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil. Cook until browned and cooked through.
- Pour marinara sauce over the chicken and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Toss the cooked pasta with the chicken and sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with Parmesan cheese.
